  1. Jason,

Thank-you for your video post on best practices in on line education. The research you quoted about on line education effectiveness is interesting. One would ask who is the course geared towards. I would say we all benefited from the on line education system because we are working professionals who have specific goals. We are different from the traditional student who is younger and yearns for more personal interactions. While I do appreciate traditional education, being in the military has really ingrained me in succeeding in that format, the importance and effects of asynchronous learning can not be over looked. This has made my education possible due to the enormous work load professionally. While I have read some research on blended model of learning, The idea of having the best of both seems enticing. What I wonder is do those really out way the costs. Some of the research i have read about blended learning state learners are often over overloaded due to the large amount of resources located on the Internet. the suggestion was to limit the amount and size of on line assignments. From this research, I was able to realize that also translated into purely on line programs as well. Liberty University is fairly consistent with the number and size of assignments across the 500 and 600 series course in education. I do not miss the traditional method of power point to death learning, and truly appreciate accommodations such as closed captioning. While I do like video presentations and able to rewind at my leisure, being able to read as I listen is a blessing and has made my learning more productive. Thank-you for your video post.
