Here are some research papers that I have during my tenure as a Master of Education student at Liberty University. Click images below to read each of the research papers.

a) Literature Review

Abstract
For teachers to be successful in the twenty-first century, they need to become comfortable with using the rudimentary forms of technology, at the very least. Teachers are needed, but they need to keep up with the latest advances in education that students need to benefit from them. Students who are considered moderately or severely intellectually disabled may receive the funding for different types of assistive technology, but those that only have learning disabilities, such as Attention Deficit Disorder, may have a harder time proving the need for such equipment. It is helpful when teachers, parents, and others within the individual’s group of natural supports can offer insight into the abilities and limitations of the students. There are also times when it is more helpful for an outsider to observe the student from a neutral and unbiased perspective. By making specific pieces of training mandatory and available to teachers, there is accountability as well as the opportunity to complete the continuing education that they need to stay up to date. Students with disabilities have the right to reasonable accommodations needed to complete their work successfully.

b) Policy Evaluation

Abstract
Since each of the fifty states has its own government, there is no standardized education curriculum throughout the entire country. Many political, social, moral, and intellectual ideologies would drive a person to favor one education policy over another. Very few policy issues are so cut and dry that they are universally accepted, and so many policies take a long time to go into effect. A zealous policymaker can put so much effort into getting others to enact the policy that they neglect to focus on the right rollout plan to guarantee that the new policy is effectual. Since technological innovation is rapidly changing the pace of global education, students need to be given the best fighting chance possible. School districts need to budget appropriately so that they do not underperform due to a lack of resources. Charter schools and semi-private schools make it possible for all students with access to obtain a quality education. To be an educator is a calling and one that should not be taken lightly.

c) Student Engagement

Abstract
Most students would admit that they are not spending forty-five to sixty hours per week involving themselves in a combination of classes and completing schoolwork. Due to a lack of engagement, many students graduate much later than expected, or not at all. One of the best ways to promote student engagement in the classroom is to encourage class participation. The reason why traditional distance education methods are less used by the millennial generation and younger is that the internet has proved to be a far more effective way of fostering student engagement. Students who are not used to an online classroom may feel more at home if they receive consistent and timely communication from faculty and online administrators. There is much technology that can assist faculty in maintaining their students’ attention.
